At Patagonia Chocolates we believe that chocolate is more than just a sweet treat; it’s a form of art. We’re dedicated to using traditional and handcrafted methods that have been refined and passed down through generations to bring you the very best taste and highest quality treating experience. 


Hand-Cut Chocolate Bars

Each of our chocolate bars is meticulously cut by hand using a knife and ruler. The beauty of this process is evident in the character of each bar—the slight imperfections that make it unique are a testament to our craftsmanship. 

Traditional Rama/Flake

Our “rama” (flake) chocolates are crafted by hand on a marble table. This traditional method allows us to control the temperature and unique texture to create a product that is smooth, rich, and full of flavour. 

‘Hand me down’ - Family Recipe Cookies

Drawing on a cherished family recipe, our cookies are made from scratch and packaged by hand. This approach not only ensures you get the best quality product but also brings a personal touch, giving you a sense of the nostalgia you get through home-baked treats.

The Baton: A Three-Day Affair

Our baton chocolates showcase the ultimate craft, where we take our house-made ingredients such has Dulce de Leche and Hazelnut paste and incorporate them over a three day process. This ensures that every ingredient melds perfectly, creating a complex flavour profile and depth to the baton. 


Artisanal Truffles and Bonbons

Our truffles and bonbons start off by creating a ganache made from full fat, real cream. We then add flavour and texture by adding nuts, coffee, or fruit purees which are sourced as locally as possible. 

Alfajores: A Taste of Tradition

They need no introduction - Alfajores are the definition of a South American treat. At Patagonia Chocolates, we don’t just fill them; we make both the cookies and dulce de leche from scratch, and combine them to create the ultimate treat. 


All of our chocolates are made on site at our Queenstown Rees Street store. Come in and visit, and see the magic happen for yourself.
