Celebrating a Remarkable Day: Hike for a Cure 2026

At Patagonia Chocolates, we are still smiling as we look back on the incredible Hike & Dine for a Cure event held on Saturday 28th March at the stunning Lake Hawea Station. It was a privilege to be part of such a breathtaking day dedicated to a cause that touches so many lives across Aotearoa.

We are absolutely delighted to share that, thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, the event raised over $174,000 for Breast Cancer Research.

We feel so proud to be part of a community that comes together to support an event like this, from the trail marshalls and volunteers to the inspiring speakers, and of course, all the locals who participated in the hike.

At the end of the trail, we met all the hikers with a scoop of Patagonia Chocolates Ice Cream. A small gesture to show our support but it certainly was a hit!

A massive thank you goes to the team at Breast

Cancer Cure for their tireless work in organising the day. We also want to extend our gratitude to Geoff and Jussie Ross and the Lake Hawea Station team for opening their beautiful property to all of us.

Being surrounded by such passion and generosity reminds us why we love being a part of this community. We are looking forward to the next opportunity to support the vital research funded by Breast Cancer Cure.

With love,

The Patagonia Chocolates Team
