Our people, our place
Quality products, made with care for our people and our place
For us, looking after the land, our team and our community has always just been part of what we do, like tempering chocolate or getting the cookie-to-cream ratio right. Look after them, and they look after us.
Grown with care, made by hand
For us, good food starts long before it reaches the kitchen. We like to stay close to where our ingredients come from, understand them properly, make as much as we can ourselves and make the most of everything we have.
It begins on our 7-hectare organic orchard in Central Otago, where we grow cherries, apricots and apples. That fruit finds its way right across our menu: into our chocolates and bonbons, ice creams and sorbets, and the fresh juices in our cafés. Our Cherry & Pinot Bonbons and Apricot Sorbet start life on the same trees.
The same thinking runs through everything else we do. We roast our own coffee, make our own dulce de leche, hand-pipe our butter cookies and bake our waffle cones fresh. Making things ourselves means we know exactly what goes into them, we can keep the quality where we want it, and we waste far less along the way.
Growing and making side by side has changed the way we think about food, and about how much value there is in every ingredient.
